Configure third-party providers
See which provider accounts a self-hosted Apantio AI needs: Twilio and OpenAI for live calls, plus optional services like Google Calendar, S3 storage, and PostHog.
The Docker Compose baseline runs Apantio AI's application, PostgreSQL, Redis, and a shared local-storage volume. Connect your own provider accounts for external capabilities.
Required for live calls

Configure your public voice gateway URL and keep the Twilio auth token server-side. </Accordion> <Accordion title="OpenAI" icon="waveform"> OpenAI Realtime handles the live audio conversation. The voice gateway sends a business context snapshot at session start and keeps the audio path separate from durable application state. </Accordion>
Knowledge and automation
<Accordion title="OpenAI-compatible AI" icon="sparkles"> Configure any provider or self-hosted runtime that implements the OpenAI-compatible chat and embeddings APIs using the AI_CHAT_* and AI_EMBEDDING_* variables. Embedding models must return exactly 1536 dimensions. </Accordion> <Accordion title="Firecrawl" icon="globe"> Firecrawl imports public website content into the knowledge pipeline. You can omit it if operators only upload documents and enter knowledge manually. </Accordion>
Optional integrations
- Google Calendar for availability and booking synchronization
- SMTP for verification, password reset, and operational email
- Polar for hosted billing and metered usage
- PostHog and OpenTelemetry for analytics, error tracking, traces, metrics, and logs
- AWS S3 or compatible storage for multi-host deployments
- MinIO through the optional
minioCompose profile - managed PostgreSQL and Redis instead of the included containers
Set STORAGE_PROVIDER=s3 for AWS S3, MinIO, or another compatible service. Leave S3_ENDPOINT empty for AWS S3. MinIO requires its HTTP endpoint and S3_FORCE_PATH_STYLE=true.
Use the environment variable reference for configuration names and the Docker Compose guide for deployment steps.
